Are the tickets for the Allison Krauss and Robert Plant concert tour more expensive than usual?

I am wondering if tickets to an Allison Krauss concert would normally be cheaper, but that they are higher because Robert Plant is performing too.

I am just very sad because there is a venue fairly close to me (a couple of hours away) where she will be performing, but the tickets are outrageous! I'm not made of money and if I want to go with my husband it's twice as much money which really makes it too much.

I'm sooo sad. I would love to see her in concert (with or without Robert Plant), but I think that I'll just have to settle with buying the c.d.

I love Robert Plant, but the price that promoters think they can charge for a show, because a "famous legend" is there is outrageous. I wanted to go see Hank Jr. and Lynrd Skynrd I was really interested in seeing Hank Jr., but the cheapest tickets were $60. I can afford it, but would rather not support that kind of price.

I suggest that you check out some other country bands that will be in town. A concert setting always makes it a good time even if you can't see the one you really like.

My answer is not that great, but it is more of a mutual complaint.

yes ... as a matter of fact, they are. keeping Robert's locks perpetually permed is an expensive task, requiring more copious amounts of Pantene and the like than one could ever imagine.
It's no fun to see those high prices... however if you are smart you can often outwit the scalpers by simply timing your purchase.

I did this last week for Jonas Brothers and scored 2 floor seats (section 6F row J!) on the day of the concert in Boston. I got the tix emailed, printed them, and went right to the show...

Tix were selling for well below the ticketmaster face on the last day, where 2 days earlier there were almost none available, the lowest price was like $310 each!

I have pics and screenshots to prove it!
